Boulders crash onto mountain road trapping motorists in China
This is the dramatic moment boulders cascaded onto a mountain road, trapping a group of motorists.
Footage shows travelers standing outside their cars, watching rocks roll down the hill along the G215 National Highway between Shangri-La and Daocheng Yading in Yunnan, China.
Clouds of dust billowed across the highway as massive chunks of stone and soil tumbled down the mountainside, burying the roadway on September 2.
Holidaymakers heading to the scenic park could do nothing but watch in fear as the landslide blocked all routes to Daocheng Yading.
Witnesses said they experienced two separate landslides in a single day, leaving vehicles stranded and roads completely impassable.
