Phoenix, United States - December 16, 2025 12/16/2025 02:00 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a black Nissan sedan near 23rd Avenue and Northern Avenue around 2:00 a.m. Tuesday. The vehicle refused to yield and fled from the initiating officer. Additional resources from the Phoenix Police Tactical Support Bureau and Aviation Unit responded to assist as the suspect fled west on Northern Avenue. Officers tracked the vehicle to a QuikTrip gas station at the intersection of 27th Avenue and Northern Avenue. The suspect entered the QuikTrip parking lot and proceeded to drive in circles around the gas pumps. Tactical Support Bureau officers converged on the suspect's vehicle, using their unmarked patrol SUVs to pin the sedan. Additional patrol resources arrived seconds later, boxing in the suspect. A high-risk traffic stop was initiated, and commands were issued to the suspect. The suspect, an irate adult female, initially refused to comply with commands. Additional commands were issued, and compliance was eventually gained. The suspect crawled out through the sedan's driver-side window and was quickly apprehended by officers.
