India: Miracle in Dhanbad, Jharkhand: Stolen Newborn Returned to Parents, Traffickers Apprehended

The police have recovered the newborn baby who was stolen from Dhanbad's largest government hospital, Shaheed Nirmal Mahato Medical College and Hospital (SNMMCH).

The police have arrested four people, including the woman who stole the child. These thieves, driven by greed for money, wanted to leave one mother's womb empty and another's.

In this case, the police have arrested hospital employee Ishtiyak Ansari, Hasimuddin Ansari who played the role of broker, Kaushal Kumar Singh who gave the money and Abhilasha Singh.

In this regard, Dhanbad City SP Ritwik Srivastava, while holding a press conference at Saraidhela police station on Monday, said that as soon as a written complaint of the incident was received on the instructions of the Senior Superintendent of Police, a raiding team was formed under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Law and Order) to solve the case and recover the stolen newborn baby.

During the investigation of the incident and recovery of the newborn child by the constituted raiding team, it came to light that A woman named Abhilasha Singh, who lives in Bhuli OP area, wants to give a child (boy) to her maternal aunt Rajkumari Devi, who is childless on December 18, he went to SNMMCH Dhanbad and contacted the nurses and hospital staff there.

In this connection, he met Ishtiyak Ansari and Hasimuddin Ansari. They assured him that his work would be done, but he would have to pay some money.

After the deal was finalised for Rs 3 lakh, Abhilasha's husband Kaushal Singh gave her Rs 80,000 through Phone Pay and a cheque of Rs 70,000 to Hasimuddin.

During the investigation, the police arrested Ishtiyak Ansari, Hasimuddin Ansari, Abhilasha Singh and Kaushal Singh, and the stolen newborn baby was also recovered safely and handed over to the child's parents on Monday.

The police recovered from them a white coloured Swift car (JH10AG-1661) used in the theft, a State Bank of India cheque of Rs 70,000 and a mobile phone.Let us tell you that the newborn baby of Sarita Devi of Bhelve village of Maniyadih police station area, admitted in the Women and Obstetrics Department of SNMMCH, Dhanbad, was stolen by thieves on the night of 27th December.
