Frightened dog saved from raging river in China
This is the moment a pup was rescued after becoming trapped in a fast-flowing river following heavy rains.
The animal struggled desperately against the current in Changde, Hunan province, China, but could not climb out on its own.
A video shows an older man wading into the water carrying a ladder, attempting to coax the dog onto it.
The frightened animal refused to climb.
Moments later, a man in a red shirt carefully descended the ladder and scooped the dog into his arms.
The video was filmed in June 2024.
