Copycat! Cheeky pet cat 'mocks injured owner' by mimicking his limp
This is the hilarious moment a cheeky pet cat mocked its injured owner by perfectly mimicking his limp.
Farrel Faadihilah had hurt his knee after tripping on the floor in Cimahi City, Indonesia.
Upon seeing his predicament, his white and grey kitty mirrored his walk, much to the amusement of his family on January 3.
Footage shows Farrel walking with an antalgic gait, shifting his weight onto his uninjured side.
Moments later, the feline, who had been sitting on the floor watching the man, followed him with its front paw raised, appearing to limp as it trotted behind him.
Farrel can be seen shaking his head at the playful mockery while his siblings burst into laughter.
Experts said that this copycat behaviour is a form of social mirroring, where a feline observes a change in its owner's gait and replicates it to bond with the individual or to solicit a positive reaction through attention.
