The enormous snake slithered into a henhouse and killed a chicken before gorging on eggs in Tamil Nadu, Southern India.
The reptile was slowed down by its huge dinner.
However, when it realised a snake catcher was on its tail it had to make a quick escape but the rescue workers captured it inside a glass container.
Despite trying to flee, the snake catcher was able to catch the cobra before placing it in a glass container and later releasing it into a nearby forest.
It vomited up all of the eggs one by one as it tried to escape the glass walls but failed.
Senthil said, “The snakes try to run away on seeing a threat, but having food in its belly it cannot run hence sheds some weight by regurgitating the swallowed food.”
Snakes are known to expel their food when they are under stress or in the event they need to make a quick escape if they feel threatened.
