Young girl’s surprising reaction to trying the wildly popular Yomie’s Rice and Yogurt drink
Recently opened in the heart of Sydney, Yomie’s Rice X Yogurt is blowing people’s tastebuds away.
Queues form at the door before opening and throughout the day the store is packed with people awaiting to pick up their beverages. In fact it’s so popular customers are limited to TWO beverages when ordering. Online comments reveal that waits have sometimes been over an hour long!
The dessert type beverages are based around natural yogurt and purple rice and are very affordable at around Aus$6.
My daughter Mikalah (age 12) ordered the number one popular drink, purple rice and yogurt. Upon her first slurp she was hit by the slightly sour taste of the yogurt, but rather quickly the sweetness of the rice brought a smile to her face. She Esau’s it was like drinking orbies because of the texture of the chewy rice.
Mikalah thoroughly enjoyed the drink and a small amount of Internet research indicates the drinks are very popular, due to their fresh and original taste.
Mikalah’s dad, Jacob Strickling also enjoyed the taste and the texture of the drink. You can see the grains of purple rice being slurped up the straw when Strickling drinks. Overall, a big thumbs up to Yomie’s Rice X Yogurt
