A mystery nest was found some 20 metres off the ground at the top of a tree - and is now being worshipped by locals. The massive cluster was seen in the forest in Phrae, northern Thailand, on February 16. Residents had no idea what was inside and with no sign of any creatures entering it, they decided to pull it down The caccoon like nest was empty inide. Superstitious locals noted the registration plate of the pickup truck carrying the workers who removed the nest - and chose the numbers for their lottery tickets. The nest was then taken to the local Buddhist temple in the Ban Thin district where monks said prayers for the nest and offered their own spiritual insights. Phra Sawangwaew said: ''This was once the home of a living creature so we will pray for their spirit to be well and pray that they can bring us good luck, too.''
