Zapin fire dance, is a Malay cultural heritage dance located on the coast of Riau province. This dance is full of magic and mystique. The presentation of this dance is only on Rupat Utara Island, Bengkalis, Riau.

Zapin dance is one of Riau culture in the form of dance accompanied by Malay music. Zapin api requires the dancers to sway in the middle of the embers. Interestingly, the dancers did not feel hot at all. They actually seemed to enjoy the dance and seemed to be playing amid an increasingly burning fire. Indeed, this condition cannot be understood by logic, especially when a hot fire cannot hurt the dancer's skin.

The Zapin Api dance is full of mysticism. Because before the attraction began, the dancers consisting of five bare-chested people danced on incense burnt incense. In the middle of the field, coconut fiber was prepared which was burned for the show.

Meksi seems simple, but there are many rules in this performance. Music must continue to sound to keep dancers in an unconscious condition. If the music stops, the players will regain consciousness. Especially if there is a fire, then the show may not be resumed.
