Three glass-breaking robbers from South Sumatra who stole Rp. 80 million in cash in Kampar, Riau were arrested. Because they resisted, the three perpetrators were shot or broke.
The Director of the Criminal Investigation Unit for the Riau Police, Kombes Asep Darmawan, said the three were arrested last night at around 19.00 WIB. The perpetrator previously acted on March 13.

"In the incident on March 13, the victim was a BRI bank customer in the Bangkinang branch," said Asep

Asep said that when he was visited, the customer had just left the bank. Then the customer walks and stops at a building shop to buy goods with the money left in the car.

"The bank customer just came out of the bank, took Rp. 80 million in cash, followed it and broke the glass when the victim got out of the car to the building shop. The victim was notified and it turned out to be broken by three people," added Asep.

The police who received the report immediately investigated the perpetrator. The police identified the perpetrators as a group of broken glass from South Sumatra who had come to act.

While under investigation, the police received news that the three perpetrators were Ismail (49), Herry Antoni (45) and Rustam (33). back again to Pekanbaru. The police moved quickly and arrested the perpetrators upon their arrival in Siak Hulu, Kampar and Jalan Paus Pekanbaru.

"The three of them are from South Sumatra and we have information that the perpetrators came back to Riau to break glass in Rumbai. Then last night we caught him at Tanah Merah in Siak Hulu and just came again from Palembang," he said.

Asep confirmed that the perpetrators were recidivists in the same case. So that during the development process the perpetrators resisted and decisive action had to be taken, namely being shot.

"The perpetrators are recidivists who have been poor in this world. So strict action was taken (shot). The evidence that was confiscated was a motorcycle, so when they arrived they bought a motorbike first in the Kuansing area and headed to Bangkinang," he said.

Meanwhile, Rp. 80 million in cash belonging to the victims was said to have been divided up by the perpetrators. Not even a penny of money left.

Ismail, who was met at the Riau Police Headquarters, admitted that it only took 3 days to act. They randomly monitor customers leaving the bank with cash.

"Here for 3 days, just monitoring and playing (acting). Prior to going to BRI, there was monitoring at the BNI bank, but it didn't work," said Ismail, who winced in pain.
