A young man almost had the scare of his life after a python it was rescuing wrapped itself around his hand and refused to let go.

The incident took place on Oct. 1 in Tamil Nadu's Kadayanallur town.

Visuals show a man holding a python by its head in one hand while he tries lifting the body with his other hand only to have the python wrap itself around his hand.

He holds the python's tail and unwraps it from his hand and tries to put it in a bag. Nonetheless, he fails when the python clings on his arm tightly.

With no other way left, he takes help from his partner who helps unwrapping the python and keep it straight on the ground.

The man finally gets the python in the bag and they succeed in getting rid of the reptile from his arm.

The young man has been identified as Sheik Hussain, a self-confessed wildlife enthusiast.
