Hundred of locals help pull crashed truck back to mountain top in Thailand
Footage shows how 160 villagers joined forces to drag a crashed pickup truck 656ft back up a mountain.
The white pickup truck veered off the road and plunged through trees and rocks down the steep hillside in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand on December 9.
Driver Su Saetao, 39, called for help after surviving the plunge. He told his friends who arrived that he had blacked out while driving.
Onlooker Woraphat Thaothawichairotn, who filmed the video, said: "After uncle Su caused the accident, more than 100 residents from our village and those nearby arrived to help drag the car out of the ravine."
It took locals more than two hours to pull the damaged vehicle back to the mountain top, where it could be put on the road and towed to a mechanic.
Waraphat added: "We used four big ropes and each rope was carried by 40 helpers. All of the villagers who were pulling the truck up were willing to help uncle Su with all their effort and hearts.
"We were so relieved that he only suffered a small injury on his head, so uncle Su is now safe."
