Filipino woman surprised by cash hidden in umbrella given by her family as birthday gift
This is the amusing moment a mother received an umbrella as a birthday gift - with cash hidden inside when she opened it.
Mother Mila Malabanan from Batangas, the Philippines, celebrated her birthday on New Year's Day, January 1.
Her family gathered to hand her the underwhelming gift, which contained the hidden surprise.
Daughter Sherelyn Vergara said that her older brother wrapped the umbrella with used juice boxes and some wrapping paper.
She said: "We tucked some cash in plastic bags and placed it inside the umbrella, so that when she opens it, the surprise will unfold."
The mother looked happy with receiving the umbrella, but the surprise inside made them even merrier.
