If the south african transport ministry has its way, a bill brought before parliament will see new laws that will specifically govern e hailing app vehicles and the industry in general.

Seen as a disruptor the e hailing apps have been welcomed by users but scorned by traditional transport operators and left authorities without laws to govern them.

The minister has met with Uber & Bolt heads in the past after violence and disruptions between e hailing operators, meter taxis & mini bus operators

the bill will also have a number of other changes to older transport legislation.
