Huge python caught hiding in roof after eating pet cat in Thailand
This is the moment a huge python was caught after swallowing a pet cat.
Chumphon Mankhong, 52, realised there was a snake in his house after the ceiling started to crack.
He checked the damage and found the 12ft long reptile coiled up under the roof rafters.
He said: "I saw the snake hiding in the small space in the ceiling. It couldn't move properly because it ate my cat for breakfast.''
Chumphon called the reptile rescuers in Saraburi, central Thailand, yesterday (April 14) morning to help him retrieve the python.
The snake wranglers found the bloated serpent digesting its victim in the corner of the ceiling so they had to break down parts of the building to take the animal out.
Despite having a swollen belly, the python struggled with the rescuers until it was finally caught and safely tucked inside a sack.
It was later released back into the wild far away from the village.
