Starving man and stray dogs scramble to scoop up milk spilled on road in northern India after COVID-19 lockdown extension
As India is bracing for an extension of the 21-day-long nationwide lockdown, imposed by the government in its bid to contain the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus disease, a man and a pack of stray dogs were seen scrambling for milk spilt on a road in the northern part of the country.
The heart-wrenching visual was filmed on camera at Rambagh Chauraha in Agra city of Uttar Pradesh state on April 13.
According to reports, the liquid was spilt on to the road after a milk container had overturned.
Following this, a pack of dogs was joined by a man who is seen trying to scoop the milk into an earthen pot.
The lockdown is now expected to be extended till May 3, have affected different sections of people differently.
However, the police officials refuted the claims made on the video.
