Police officers rescue two monkeys atop electric pole who fell down after being electrocuted in northern India's Uttar Pradesh.

The visual came out of Chhipitola area of Agra on August 15.

According to reports, the mother monkey and her child fell from the pole leaving the duo injured.

A few police officers who were hoisting the Indian flag on the occasion of Independence day rushed to their rescue.

Officers SI Tarun Kumar and others rescued the duo and gave them preliminary first aid.

The video shows a group of police officers rubbing the back of the unconscious monkeys while they slowly come back to their senses.

Several people lauded the act and praised the police officers for nursing the animals on an important day for the country.
