This is the shocking moment a minivan lost control and smashed into a traffic island, narrowly missing a cargo truck on the opposite lane.

Quen Het Dam Me was on his way to work when the accident was recorded by his dashboard camera in Binh Phuoc province, Vietnam on September 9.

He said: "I think the driver was not concentrating, so he lost sight of the road. You should always be attentive especially if you are a driver to avoid accidents and trouble to fellow drivers.''

No one was hurt in the incident and the car only had to drive backwards to remove it from the traffic island.
Traffic police arrived to interview the driver, who was also let go eventually after being reminded of using the roads safely.
