More than 30 Indian soldiers narrowly escaped a sinking bus after it was caught in a river current in Bhairamgarh, Chhattisgarh, India on Monday (September 21).

Footage shows several District Reserve Guard soldiers lining the flooded road as the bus prepare to cross. Seconds later, the bus is seen being dragged away by the overflowing river, with a number of soldiers still inside.

While some are seen swimming away, others are seen escaping through the windows.

According to reports, the soldiers were all rescued and there were no reports of injuries.

A bus lost control due to fast flowing flood water and fell into a river from the road in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh. The incident took place in Bijapur's Bhairamgarh block on September 21.

The video shows the District Reserve Guard soldiers who got off the bus standing in the flooded road waiting for the bus to cross to the other side, when the driver loses control due to fast flowing flood water on the road.

According to reports, the soldiers had a narrow escape as they got off the bus before the bus turned turtle into the river.

The soldiers immediately rescued the driver from the bus that turned turtle into the overflowing river due to heavy rainfall in the region.

Fortunately, everyone escaped the mishap.
