This is the shocking moment a car knocked a baby cow to the ground - before the animal stood up and walked away like nothing happened.

Pywan, 50, was driving along the narrow forest road when the running calf appeared in Petchaburi province, Thailand, on December 19.

The calf, estimated to be a one-year-old, seemed to be in a hurry and tried to beat the passing car and crossed the road.

Dascham footage shows how the driver slammed the brakes to avoid the animal, but it still lightly bumped which sent knocked it to the ground.

However, the calf was able to quickly jump to its feet unscathed by the impact before it ran to the other side of the road.

Pywan said he was confused about how the animal survived, but he was glad it was not seriously hurt.

He said: "Luckily, I wasn't driving to fast so the calf was not hurt. It looked a bit startled but that's it.
"There was no damage to the front of the car so I believe the calf was lucky and a good omen. ''

The superstitious man, who works as an animal rescuer, said he will use the license plate number of his car in his next lottery ticket.
