Residents of Menteng, a busy district of Central Jakarta, discovered and captured a python snake that measured more than 3-metres-long.

Footage from Wednesday afternoon (February 10) shows two men carrying the agitated snake from both ends and putting the reptile into a sack.

The filmer told Newsflare: "Citizens were afraid and panicked, dragging the snake along the road away from Ciliwung River, where children often play."
