Firefighters removed a large 4-metre-long python that was lurking inside a wall at a market in West Jakarta, Indonesia.

An employee at the market called the local animal rescue team after spotting the snake.

Officers drove out to the scene and after a complicated rescue operation, they managed to remove the serpent.

The python was handed over to Jakarta Conservation Animal Rescue.

Initially, the reporter saw a snake in the gaps of the walls of the emergency market. Then he contacted the Cengkareng Sector VII Rescue officer to ask for evacuation assistance. Officers immediately drove to the location and started the operation that began at 03.00 WIB (6/14) mobilized 1 unit of Storing with 3 personnel.

Officers managed to secure a python type snake that is known to have a length of approximately 4 meters. Furthermore, animals are handed over to Jakarta Conservation Animal Rescue.
