To prevent people from going home, the government has placed restrictions in several places. The manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) in Tangerang, Banten, noted that the number of flights had decreased by 90 percent, on the third day of the ban on going home for Eid. There are several airlines at Soetta Airport that do not serve flights during the Eid homecoming ban from Thursday 6 May to 17 May 2021 However, they are still prepared for urgent travel needs.

Passenger checks will include checking exempted documents, recording criteria for people on the way, and ensuring the Covid-19 health protocol. Passengers who are exempted from the Lebaran homecoming prohibition include those on official trips, sick and dead families, pregnant women, and childbirth interests.
