A mother and her son had a near-death encounter when they almost slipped under a moving train in western India's Gujarat on July 6. The incident took place in Navsari railway station.

CCTV footage features the woman carrying her son at the railway station to board a locomotive in broad daylight. Following this, they hurriedly attempt to hop on the train but accidentally slide down from the moving compartment onto the platform. Luckily, an alert cop rushes and pulls them to safety while a crowd gathers nearby.

In the life-saving deed, the on-duty Railway Protection Force (RPF) constable, Harshad Tandel, showed vigilance and rescued Ganesh Sisodra's 22-year-old wife and 18-month-old son, who had almost slid down from the gap between the platform and the moving train while jumping inside its compartment.
