Officers came to the rescue of a wildcat that was trapped in a home in eastern India on November 6.

Footage showed the feline hiding under a motorbike at a home in the East Medinipur area of West Bengal as a huge crowd gathered to watch.

Officers managed to encourage the terrified creature to leave its hiding spot and then caught it in a large cage.

They released it shortly afterwards in its natural habitat.

Wildlife was having the best time in the human world until it got stuck inside a house in eastern India's West Bengal on November 6. The incident took place in Bhagwanpur in East Medinipur.

Visuals feature the wild cat lurking beneath a two-wheeler while glancing at the onlookers out of fear as they surround the entire house. After a while, the rescuers arrive with all their equipment and poke the creature out of its hiding spot, ensuing panic among the residents. However, they manage to confine the animal inside the cage while it attempts to set itself free, leading to a dreadful scenario. Meanwhile, a huge crowd gathers to witness the act while the officials place the cage on the back of the pickup vehicle to control the situation.

The wild cat strayed into the residential area of East Medinipur district, ensuing fear among those living in the vicinity. However, the officials were alerted and they rescued the creature to take care of it and release it back into its natural habitat.
