An invasive species of fish, alligator gar, that is typically located in North America has been found in Indore, Madhya Pradesh.

Footage from November 30 shows the bizarre-looking fish swimming inside an aquarium tank.

According to reports, the alligator gar was smuggled from Mumbai to be sold at a high price.

The fish is currently at a zoological park and will be released back into its natural habitat.

Alligator gars are usually found on the east coast of Mexico and the southern coasts of Texas, Louisiana and Florida.

A shocking incident came to the fore, which puzzled the minds of the locals in central India's Madhya Pradesh on November 30. The incident took place in Indore.

Visuals feature the rare fish, appearing to be half crocodile with a dog-like nose, swimming inside the tank of the aquarium, giving onlookers a sight to behold as it leaves them amused. Moreover, an official discloses further details about the fish after monitoring it for a while.

The Crocodile Fish, a rare sea creature, was allegedly smuggled from Mumbai to be sold at a much higher price due to its unique structure. However, the fish was seized by the authorities and handed over to the Indore Municipal Corporation for safekeeping. Moreover, Dr. Uttam Yadav, a veterinary doctor, and in charge of the zoological museum, revealed that the creature devours small fishes and is a carnivore. Furthermore, the fish is at the Zoological Park in Indore and will be released into its natural habitat for its growth.
