The villagers found an injured deer inside a well, following which they rescued it in central India's Madhya Pradesh on January 31.

The incident took place in the Sukha village, located in the Patharia region of the Damoh district.

Visuals feature the deer lying outside the veterinary clinic premises in an injured condition. Later, the doctors examine the mammal and tend to it.

The villagers rescued the deer from the well, following which the Forest Department officials arrived at the spot and rushed the deer to the veterinary clinic.

Moreover, a team of Forest officials set out in search of the leopard that injured the deer, while another team released the mammal into its natural habitat post recovery.
