This is the heartwarming moment a kind cyclist took a stray kitten home that he found stranded on a road.

Janyuri Liguit Menorca was pedalling along a highway when he spotted the confused feline trying to reach the other side of a road in Marinduque province, the Philippines on February 27.

He stopped to check on the cat and see if it has an owner nearby as there were house not far from the road, but after confirming it was a stray, the young lad picked it up and checked for injuries.

The cyclist then tucked the kitten on his bike's water bottle holder before pedalling home where he fed the cat.

He said: 'I was on my way home when I passed by the stray kitten roaming along the road. I was worried it could be hurt so I took it with me.'
