Julius Malema responds to criticism about serving Johann Rupert's wine

EFF (Economic Freedom Fighters) leader, Julius Malema, has responded to critics on Twitter who accused the party of double standards after it was reveal the party had served Rupert & Rothschild wine at one of their events.

Malema addressed party members outside the headquarters of Remgro in Stellenbosch, a company controlled by Johann Rupert and founded by his father, Anton. The party held the protest to coincide with the arrival of the Dutch colonialist, Jan Van Riebeeck, which heralded the start of more than 350 years of white minority rule.

The party called it a Land Day Rally. They demanded that Rupert and and the Oppenheimers as well as other wealthy white families hand over their land and farms to black South Africans.
