Natasha Mazzone the chief whip of South Africa’s official opposition party, the Democratic Alliance (DA) laid charges of incitement of violence against the leader of the left wing Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) , Julius Malema as well as EFF member of Parliament, Nazier Paulsen.

The charges come a back after violent protests in the Free State town of Senegal which saw a large group of armed white farmers storm the court building and torch a police vehicle.

Subsequent to the violent clashes in Senekal, Malema tweeted pictures of an AK47 and ordered his ground forces to “attack”.

When questioned about the violent scenes in Senekal, Mazzone said it was a small group of radical farmers and extremists who attacked the court building and torched the police vehicle.
