A truck weighing 20 tons toppled over while going round a corner and crashed into a shop.

CCTV footage shows the dump truck losing balance as it approached a curve before smashing into the row of shops in Ratchaburi province, Thailand on April 9.

The crash wrecked the front portion of the warehouse and damaged its steel doors. Street food vendor Noppasin Yucharoen, 20, managed to avoid being caught in the accident.

Noppasin, who leapt out of the way, said: ‘I thought I was going to die. It was so scary. I am still shaken by what happened.’

Driver Wittaya Laokham claimed he was headed to a job site when the vehicle's brakes allegedly failed in the intersection causing the truck to topple over and smash into a nearby warehouse.

Wittaya injured both of his knees and has been taken to Damnoen Saduak Hospital to recover. He is now in a stable condition.

An insurance company will be handling the payment for damages caused by the crash.
