Wild bear strays into village, attacks locals in central India

At least four people, including a woman, sustained injuries after a thirsty wild bear strayed into a village and attacked locals in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place in Bhainsdehi range in Betul district on April 17.

Visuals showed the victims of the wild bear attack, who had cuts and blood all over their bodies. One of the injured victims was an old man, who had severe cuts on his hand, head, eyes, and nose. The other victim was an old woman who was seen lying on the bed injured. Her left hand is injured the most.

The third victim was a man whose waist part was attacked. The fourth victim was a man whose both hands and a leg were attacked.

According to reports, the wild animal attacked four people of Seoni and Sihar villages.

The victims have been identified as Ajay Adachi, Jungle Adachi, Munni Adachi, and Tanbaji Baraskar. The casualties were taken to the district hospital immediately. According to the doctor, the victims are likely to make full recovery.

Following the accident, the forest department was notified, and a team was dispatched to capture the bear and release it back into the wild.
