Wildlife officials rescued an elephant calf from an abandoned well in Kandhamal, Odisha, on May 27.

The 4-year-old calf was found lying in the stone well and nearby officials used an excavator to dig a path for the trapped animal.

After a 4-hour-long rescue, the calf was set free and is seen running to find its herd.
