Residents pull burning quilt from upstairs neighbour's window to prevent flat from igniting
Residents dragged a burning quilt down from their upstairs neighbour’s window in eastern China to prevent the blaze from spreading.
Video filmed in the city of Liu’an in Anhui Province on October 10 shows smoke and flames emerging from a quilt hanging out a flat’s window and downstairs residents attempting to drag it down.
According to reports, the quilt hung suddenly caught on fire while the homeowner was not at home.
After the downstairs neighbours spotted the incident, they tried to drag the burning quilt down from the window to avoid the fire spreading into the flat.
The cause of the fire was unknown.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
