Neighbours rescued a boy hanging from a fourth-floor window in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Zibo in Shandong Province on November 12 shows a 2-year-old boy dangling from a window on the fourth floor of a building as his head got stuck in the security bars.

Two men were seen stretching their bodies out of the third-floor window and using stools to hold the boy up.

After the villagers broke into the flat on the fourth floor, they lifted the boy up to bring him back to safety.

According to the community committee worker named Li, the boy’s parents were out when the incident happened, and his grandmother chased his elder brother who ran out of the home and they were locked outside the flat.

Thanks to the neighbours, the boy was rescued successfully and he was not injured seriously.

One neighbour suffered injuries to their hand when helping break into the flat and had seven stitches in hospital.

12日上午9时许，山东淄博，国家新村小区有居民看到一名男童悬挂在5楼防盗窗上，整个身体悬空在外，便大喊一声救人，附近居民闻声而出。
“有几名男士跑到4楼，其中两人从窗户爬了出去，一手抓住窗台，一手举着小凳子托举悬空的男孩，楼下也有不少居民拿来被子当作救生垫。”国家新村村委会工作人员李先生说，还有几位村民跑到5楼，找来工具破门而入。经过十多分钟的救援，男童被顺利救下。
李先生介绍，经了解，男童今年2岁，事发时男童父母外出，家中只有奶奶和两个孩子。较大的孩子跑出门外，奶奶出门去追时被锁在了门外。所幸居民发现及时，男童被成功救下，身体并无大碍。
“破门的那位村民手受了伤，在医院缝了六七针。”李先生说，当地后续会对救人者进行表彰。
