A brave neighbour rescued a little girl who was spotted dangling from a third-floor window in southern China.

Heroic video filmed in the city of Mianzhu in Sichuan Province on July 24, shows a man managing to climb from a staircase window, moving nimbly across the exterior of the building towards a girl hanging out of a window.

Once the man reached the girl, he gently scooped the girl into his arms and guided her back through the window to the safety of her home.

Eyewitness Mr Lai recalls the incident, detailing that the girl was home alone at the time. When residents of the housing complex became aware of the distressing situation, they quickly grabbed a crawling mat and a blanket, positioning themselves on the ground floor in preparation for the worst.

Thankfully, the swift and courageous response from the community ensured the child was saved in time. The little girl is now safe and unharmed.
