This is the shocking moment two trucks crashed into each other and spilled hundreds of logs onto a road in Thailand.

CCTV footage shows both vehicles speeding towards the intersection with broken traffic lights in Trang province on January 6.

The logging truck slammed into the right side of the dirt truck, with the impact knocking dozens of pieces of timber onto the asphalt.

Na Yong police rushed to the scene and drivers Suriya Onchuay, 41, and Adisorn Satsen, 39, both uninjured.

Adisorn said he was delivering wood from the factory to Songkhla province, while Suriya explained he had been transporting soil to use in rice fields.

Both claimed they had checked both sides of the road at the intersection before the accident occurred.

Local residents have been urging authorities to repair the traffic lights, which have been broken for three days, as the road was busy and located next to residential areas.

One lane was temporarily closed while officers collected the scattered logs.

Police Captain Yuttachai Chaipetch of the Nayong police station said: 'We received a report at 11:30 am that a dirt truck had crashed into another truck.

'Both of the drivers will be questioned again before further legal action is taken.'
