A stray kitten stuck inside a downspout gutter pipe was rescued in Thailand.

The two-month-old feline fell from the roof into the hole in the pipe of a home in Bangkok on January 5.

Resident Pui Yoochoo heard the creature crying in the morning when she walked outside and was worried when she heard it again in the afternoon so she called the rescuers for help.

Footage shows Pui looking through the pipe where the cat was stuck. She removed the cover and, with the help of a volunteer, pulled it out to free the feline.

Pui said: ‘I went to the market and heard the crying cat. I think I might have heard it the night before we rescued it.

‘I tried to search for the kitten on my own, but I eventually decided to call for help.'

The cat, unhurt from the fall, was lured out of the pipe and placed inside a bag. The house owner fed the kitten who would be living with her.

Pui added: ‘I will take care of the cat. She would need vaccines and a vet visit because it was still too young.'
