Padang city residents ran out of their homes and looked for high ground after being shaken by a 7.3 Magnetudo sea earthquake at 03.00, Tuesday (25 April 2023).

after it was announced that there was a potential for a tsunami, residents of the city of Padang fled to high places, one in the Indonesian police building in the West Sumatra region.

It is known that the earthquake was centered in the seas of the Mentawai Islands, West Sumatra Province with a magnitude of 7.3 Magnetudo. The earthquake was felt throughout the province of West Sumatra and half of the island of Sumatra, Indonesia.

Until now, there has been no official statement from related parties regarding the number of victims and buildings damaged by the earthquake.
