THIS SENIOR corporate executive doesn’t let internet trolls stop her and inspires mutual respect, despite being stopped and tested for drugs by the police because of her blonde dreadlocks and £25K of tattoos.
Head of communications Teany Denver (39) from Lübeck, Germany has spent £25k in just nine years, starting her tattoo journey at 30 years old.
Teany didn’t begin her modification journey until the age of 30. She began with a small tattoo on her wrist, from there embarking on a large tattoo project that is still unfinished today. After getting several tattoos they began to merge into one large tattoo.
In total, Teany has spent around £25k on her appearance.
Teany also has several piercings as well as her iconic dreadlocks. Her dreadlocks are synthetic, allowing her to switch between her bald head and her dreads as desired. When her hair grows to five centimetres in length Teany is able to attach her dreadlocks to her hair. Teany usually leaves her hair for a year and a half before once again shaving her hair and returning to her bald look.
Teany is very aware of the sensitive topic of cultural appropriation and has also published a text on her Instagram. It is important to her to emphasize that she has been dealing with the topic for a long time and believes that the mutual exchange of cultures is a way that you can go to get closer to each other.
