Brave bystanders save boy dangling from first-floor window in China
Brave bystanders saved a boy dangling from a first-floor window in southern China.
Video filmed in the city of Zhuhai in Guangdong Province on January 13 shows a boy getting his head stuck in the security bars on the first-floor window, leaving his body hanging in mid-air while his legs kicked frantically, emitting piercing screams.
A courageous girl inside the house attempted to assist the distressed boy, but her efforts were limited, and she struggled to make a difference.
At this critical moment, two helmeted men on an electric tricycle rushed to the scene, joined by several other onlookers, initiating a daring rescue operation.
One of the men climbed onto the tricycle's railing, trying to get closer to the stranded boy. Unfortunately, due to a slight height difference, his attempts fell short.
Quick-thinking bystanders retrieved a ladder and a shovel from the surroundings. With someone standing on the ladder, they used the shovel to support the boy's feet and gently guided him back into the house.
According to Mr. Long, an eyewitness, the incident occurred when only two children were at home, as the adults had stepped out. The trapped boy, belonging to an acquaintance of Mr. Long, was eventually rescued through the collective efforts of nearby neighbours and construction workers.
A local merchant shared that the rescued child was familiar to her, belonging to an acquaintance. At around 3:00 pm on January 13th, the 5-year-old twins were left under the care of their grandmother, who happened to be away at the time.
The first to notice the distressing situation was a female cleaner at the scene, who promptly alerted nearby workers and neighbours for assistance.
Thanks to the prompt response and collaborative efforts, the boy was successfully rescued, and fortunately, he emerged from the ordeal unharmed.
