China is mobilising a rapid response to the heaviest rainfall in Beijing's recorded history, affecting over 44,000 people and leading to the evacuation of 127,000 individuals from the capital and its neighbouring regions.

Emergency airdrops of food and water have been made in the hardest-hit areas, and local authorities in Tianjin have evacuated about 66,000 people to brace for potential flooding.

Wang Yi detailed the airlifting of more than 200 pieces of vital supplies, and the rescue of injured individuals for treatment.

On Wednesday morning, the red alert for flooding was lifted in Beijing, and the Chinese government has earmarked 100 million yuan (4.01 million dollars) to support post-disaster reconstruction.

With a concerted all-out effort, the authorities are working tirelessly to safeguard the population from the ongoing impact of these devastating floods.
