Water entered into the houses of residents in southern India's Telangana.

The incident took place in NTR Nagar, Santhoshi Matha Colony, 28th Division Road in Greater Warangal on July 25.

Visuals showed water that had flooded the whole area. People waded through the knee-high water to make their way to safer areas. The police officers and NDRF (National Disaster Response Force) officials were seen at work as they evacuated the people out of these areas to move them to safety. A few rescue officials also took a tour of the whole area on a tractor with visuals showing the havoc the rainfall has caused. Water entered into houses with the paths being completely inundated. Even as they rescued the people, heavy rainfall continued to occur which worsened the situation of the place.

The NDRF officials were seen evacuating the people with the help of a boat that they used to travel in this heavily-flooded area. AV Ranganath, the Commissioner of Police (CP) of Warangal also visited the flooded areas and inspected these places. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) had earlier predicted heavy rainfall in Warangal for July 25 (Tuesday).
