A team of patrolling National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) workers rescued two men drowning in the flooded part of the eastern Indian city of Bhadrak.

Footage, filmed on August 27, shows two NDRF workers dive into the floodwater and swim towards a man struggling to keep his head above the surface.

The pair then help the man climb onto the raft as another man is heard wailing in shock.

The area was submerged following heavy rainfall.

The team of disaster relief workers spot two men waving their hands in help as they drown in the flood water.

In the video shot by the NDRF officials, two men can be spotted at a distance with their hands floating in the water when one of the disaster management workers jump into the water with floating life tyre and rescues the men, they are then pulled up in the life saving boat.

The incident is from August 27th after the area was inundated following heavy rainfall.
