An Indonesian housewife, Suminah, was the victim of a terrifying crocodile attack while she was washing clothes on the banks of the Wai Semaka river, on board a bamboo raft.

The horrifying incident took place in Pekon Sudimoro Bangun, Semaka District, Tanggamus Regency, Lampung.

A crocodile hidden in the water suddenly bit her hand as she was washing clothes, pulling her into the water.

Fortunately, a bystander witnessed the event and immediately attempted to rescue Suminah. However, the crocodile bit her leg again before finally letting her go.

Suminah was promptly taken to the local health centre for immediate medical treatment.

She sustained serious lacerations on her right calf, right wrist, right palm, and several other parts of her body.

Medical examinations revealed that the injuries on her leg measured approximately 15cm in length, while the injuries on her hand reached around 12cm.

Suminah's mental and physical condition has begun to improve after receiving intensive medical care, and she has returned home.

In the video, Slamet, Suminah's neighbour, also commented on the attack.
