Commuters, Railway Workers, Police and shoppers observed the two minute silence at a Midlands train station.

Visitors and workers at Birmingham's New Street Station and Grand Central Shopping Arcade stopped to observe the two-minute silence at 11am on Saturday 11 November, Armistice Day, remembering the fallen in WWI.

As a small amount of people continued walking on, many stopped to bow their heads in respect for those lost in the First World War.

Cleaners, security and other Network Rail staff formed a line as the period of reflection went on.
