A woman and her friends heading back from a night out were left in hysterics as she dropped her phone down an elevator shaft in St Louis, Missouri,

Abby Barnes was pretending to be in a music video whilst blasting out some tunes when her mobile slipped out of her hand and descended the shaft.

"On New Year’s Eve, my friends and I were headed back to the hotel after a night out. I was pretending I was in a music video and quickly got humbled when my phone slipped out of my hand and dropped perfectly down the elevator crack and fell three floors below us. My music continued to play even after the fall," Barnes said.
