Firefighters braved a ladder to rescue a mother and her daughter trapped in burning flat in eastern China.

The video was filmed in Ningbo City in Zhejiang Province on February 24.

A high-rise building suddenly caught fire on the 12th floor. Flames and thick smoke quickly burst out of the windows, trapping a mother and her daughter on the balcony.

After receiving the alarm, the fire command centre immediately dispatched rescue forces from three fire rescue stations in the jurisdiction, along with eight fire trucks and a fire ladder truck to the scene.

Soon, the fire rescue personnel arrived. Upon investigation of the fire scene, it was found that thick smoke billowed from apartment 1301 in building 8 of the community, with the fire raging fiercely.

The mother and daughter cried out for help from the balcony, anxiously awaiting rescue.

Building 8 has a total of 18 floors. At the time, there were many people gathered at the bottom of the building, mostly residents who had evacuated from floors below the 13th.

Fires in high-rise buildings can easily result in falling debris, so the fire command officer promptly evacuated the crowd. Meanwhile, the rescue team split into two groups: one group of firefighters entered the building to conduct search and rescue operations, while the other directed a 55-metre fire ladder truck to quickly deploy and rescue the trapped individuals.

As the ladder truck ascended to the 12th-floor balcony, firefighters swiftly carried the 5-year-old girl from her mother's arms into the truck's bucket.

Due to the cold weather and strong winds, the ladder truck swayed heavily, making it difficult for the woman to enter the bucket smoothly.

Subsequently, the ladder truck continued to ascend. With the protection of the firefighters, the woman managed to get her legs into the bucket, and both mother and daughter were successfully rescued and transferred to the ground.

After examination by on-site medical personnel, both individuals were found to be unharmed.

It was learned that there were a total of four people in the house where the fire broke out. The elderly couple noticed the fire in the living room and promptly escaped downstairs.

The mother and daughter were trapped in the bedroom connected to the living room and were unable to escape, so they fled to the balcony.

The cause of the fire was not clear to the female homeowner.

After nearly half an hour of emergency rescue, the fire at the scene was extinguished. The room where the fire occurred was in ruins, and the floors above were also affected.

Due to timely rescue and evacuation, there were no casualties at the scene. Currently, the specific cause of the fire is still under investigation by the fire department.

很快，消防救援人员抵达。经现场火情侦查，发现小区8幢1301室浓烟滚滚，火势猛烈。

母女俩在南阳台疾呼，焦急等待救援。

小区8幢一共有18层。当时，楼底围观的人很多，大都是13层以下楼层逃生下来的。

高层起火容易有物品坠落，消防指挥员及时疏散人群。同时，兵分两组，一组消防员登楼开展内攻搜救，一边指挥55米消防云梯车迅速展开，对被困人员进行救援。

当云梯车升至13层阳台时，消防员迅速先将女子怀里的5岁女童抱到云梯车车斗内。

由于天气寒冷风速较大，云梯车晃动厉害，女子暂时无法顺利进入车斗。

随即，云梯车继续升高。在消防员的保护下，让女子的腿部跨入车斗，最终将母女俩成功救下，转移至地面。

经现场医护人员检查，两人身体并无大碍。

据了解，起火的这家，当时一共有4人在家，两位老人在客厅第一时间发现火灾后，及时逃生到了楼下。

母女二人当时在与客厅联通的卧室内，无法退出，只能逃亡阳台。

火怎么烧起来的女主人并不清楚。

经过近半个小时紧急救援，现场火势被扑灭。过火房间内一片狼藉，楼上也受到波及。

因为及时救援疏散，现场并未造成人员伤亡。目前，火灾具体原因，消防部门还在进一步调查中。
