Good Samaritans caught a baby who was thrown out of a burning flat by their mother in eastern China.

The heroic video was filmed in Wenzhou City in Zhejiang Province on March 7.

A residential building was engulfed in flames, trapping a woman and a child on the third floor.

Thick smoke billowed from the windows as onlookers watched in horror. With no other options left, the woman made a split-second decision and tossed the child from the third-floor window.

Fortunately, quick-thinking residents below had prepared themselves and managed to catch the child safely using blankets. Once the child was rescued, the woman embraced them tightly, relieved that they were unharmed.

Local firefighting authorities declared that the blaze had been successfully extinguished, with no casualties reported.

Both the woman and the child emerged from the ordeal unscathed. The case was being investigated.
