News headlines today read "Vaping causes similar DNA damage to smoking - as study links e-cigarettes to cancer risk" but despite this the easily bought devices were on show as people waited to buy their other items. Since 6 April 2012 it has been illegal to display tobacco products at the point of sale in large stores but despite this the same rules do not apply to vapes. The display of prices of tobacco products is also restricted. The vapes on display today were seen advertising discounts for buying more which would not be allowed with tobacco products despite there similar risks to public health according to today's medical announcement.
